Jewellery Video
The seminar room where the recorded sessions happen — and hours of free jewellery education you can start watching tonight.
Video changed how crafts are taught, and jewellery is no exception — but it
changed it honestly, not completely. Some skills you can learn by watching:
gemmology theory, design aesthetics, process walkthroughs. Some you cannot:
the exact pull of a saw blade, the feel of a stone seating into a bezel. A
video-first strategy knows the difference.
The three layers of JDMIS video education
- Fully online starting points — gemmology theory can begin online, with
the classroom reserved for the hands-on parts
(GT100e). - Recorded webinars — public gem, jewellery and pearl sessions,
replayable free: the
gem library,
jewellery library
and pearl library. - Blended support — classroom courses carry video material for revision,
because the tricky skill only clicks on the third viewing.
Where to start
If you are video-first by preference: the
online courses overview maps what can be done
remotely, the video library collects the
watchable free material, and
blended learning explained tells you when to
close the laptop and show up in person.
The video is the support act — the studio is the main event. But the video
is free, and it is very good.
