Tourmaline — the rainbow gem with a watermelon trick

One crystal can hold two colours — tourmaline is the rainbow's gem.

Tourmaline has the widest colour range of any gemstone — greens, pinks,
blues, yellows, and crystals that hold TWO colours at once.

Hardness 7-7.5: fine for pendants/earrings always, rings with sensible
settings. Some tourmalines arrive with fissures — eye-clean selection
matters.

Why designers love it — colour variety under one name means collections
can stay "one material" while changing palette — a trick straight from the
collection design guide.
